HOW IS THE PAINTING MADE INTO A GICLEE PRINT?
The Original Painting is Scanned using the most modern technology available today and turned into a digital file. The printing is done using Iris Equipoise ink. This is an organic water based ink. Water-based inks have no VOCs, which are a big problem in solvent-based inks.The lack of VOCs in water-based inks is one of their many environmental benefits VOC, stands for volatile organic compound. The Iris Printer produces 4 million of the smallest and thinnest droplets per second on a variety of 100% archival substrates. Iris as the most exclusive techology for giclee printing. Up to 2000 dpi and a range of 256 values per color. Iris prints are beautiful and superior to all other fine art printing in both tonal quality and image permanence.
Even artists have a hard time telling the Iris' museum quality prints from the original! Numerous examples of giclee prints can be found in museums around the world; including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the San Francisco Museum of Art and the British Museum of art to name a few.
WHAT PAPER DO YOU USE?
We use only environmentally friendly papers. These papers are either tree-free, recycled, 100% rag, or made products from sustainable forests.
One of our newest papers is Bamboo Paper. The traditional Hahnemühle paper mill has developed the worldwide first Fine Art paper made from bamboo fibers. The natural white paper with a warm tone combines gorgeous reproduction with environmental considerations. "Bamboo 290" consists of fibers from highly renewable bamboo grass.
Hahnemühle will donate a portion of the revenues to supporting environmental projects.
DO YOU COAT THE PRINTS?
When printing on canvas, we hand finish our canvas prints with PremierArt Eco Print spray. Wilhelm Imaging , the only real authorities on the issue, indicate that this coating can increase the longevity of our prints to well beyond 200 years.

The frames we use come from MANAGED FORESTS. The wood we consume is like the farm yield from a rotating crop. The crop gets replanted for later yields.
