WHAT IS IN IT FOR THE ARTIST?

WHAT IT IS ABOUT:

"ART MAKING A DIFFERENCE" is a competition to bring artists together from around the world to unite through imagery to stimulate a positive change in the world around us.  Art communicates in a way far different from other methods.  It can evoke emotional and intellectual shifts in society.  With over 50 Million artists in the world today, our collective energies could have a monumental impact on the world around us.

-- A Hard-cover Book.  The book will feature 100 winning artists from our competition.  Their artwork, essays, and contact information will appear in the publication.  The book will be available through major bookstores.

-- An Online Flip Book.  The book will also be made available as a flash flip book to be viewed online on a dedicated website.  This book will be linked across the internet to maximize visibility.

-- A Film. We will be making the project into a film.  The film will feature the winning artists, their art, and their essays.  Interviews with the top artists will also be included.  The film will be available across the internet and in major film markets.

---E-commerce Website.  The winning Artists will be given the option to sell their images through a dedicated website (Artists must opt in)  Website will split the proceeds of the images 50% to the artist and 50% to charity.

---Gallery Exhibition and Tour.  The winning Artists will be given the option to exhibit their works in various galleries and participate in the tour.

OUR GOAL :

Change the world.  We hope to do this through POSITIVE imagery- embracing hope, peace, and care for the earth and its' resources.  We hope to stimulate change and create a shift in the world's consciousness through Art.  

As Artists ourselves, our biggest struggle is to make a living doing what we love, art. Winners of this competition will have an opportunity to have their art and names thrust in front of a global audience.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR- ART:

We are looking for POSITIVE original art images that evoke thought and inspire change. 

Our philosophy is that the world is filled with too much "ugliness" and that in this critical time in our history, we can make a change through beauty, hope, knowledge, and love.  Whether it is helping poverty, oppression, saving our planet, energy solutions, reforestation, recycling, or???We as Artists need to lead the way...push forward toward a better world!  

We need images created in any medium.  The files to be sent must be no larger than 5MB and in jpeg, or tiff format.

We would like to hear in 500 words or less how YOU think that Art Can Change the World.

The text may be pasted in our entry form or uploaded in Word, or other text processing programs.
